1. Childhood Melodies, Family Influences & First Instruments

Nakamura Kazuha was born on August 9, 2003, in Kochi Prefecture, Japan, and raised as an only child in the vibrant cultural hub of Osaka. From a remarkably young age, her life was defined by rigorous athletic discipline and high-art aestheticism. Enrolled in ballet lessons at the age of three by her mother at the local Hashimoto Sachiyo Ballet School & Jr., Kazuha initially stepped into the studio without fully grasping the intense path laid out before her. What began as an after-school physical activity swiftly blossomed into an all-consuming passion and a life-shaping artistic vocation.
Throughout her childhood and teenage years in Osaka, Kazuha’s daily routine revolved around relentless training regimen—balancing standard middle school academics at Kansai University Junior High School with up to six hours of rigorous classical ballet practice daily. Her natural physical gifts, including extraordinary flexibility, posture, and precise muscle control, were matched only by an unwavering work ethic. By her early teens, Kazuha was competing in top-tier national and international ballet competitions, earning prestigious accolades across Asia. In 2016, she captured first place in the J1A Division of the Japan MIE Ballet Competition performing ‘Esmeralda Va’. Subsequent dominant wins followed, including victories at the World Dream Ballet Competition (2017), the Lake Biwa Western Dance Contest (2018), and the Victoire Ballet Competition Kobe (2019). Her crowning achievement in the classical realm arrived in 2018 when she secured the Silver Medal at the prestigious Asian Grand Prix Competition Junior B Division in Hong Kong.
Recognizing her world-class potential, international scout networks opened doors to Europe’s most storied ballet academies. Kazuha was invited to short-term intensives and elite training programs at the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow and the Royal Ballet School in London. In 2020, at just seventeen years old, she made the life-altering decision to leave Japan and relocate to Breda and Amsterdam in the Netherlands after securing a coveted spot at the Dutch National Ballet Academy. Living independently in Europe, immersing herself in foreign languages, and performing classic works such as Romeo and Juliet, Kazuha was firmly on track to join a major European classical company as a professional ballerina.
